The goal

Create a space that serves family lounging room and formal entertaining equally well. Be true to the Victorian home’s character in a way that allows contemporary elements to be included.

Some highlights

Formal wood framed lounge chairs are paired with a tufted sofa covered in a beautiful but hardy tapestry. Floor pillows encourage use of the coffee table for board games and other kids’ activities.

Furnishings are tradition based, but attention paid to line and scale makes more contemporary elements such as the club chair, accent fabrics and art feel right at home.
