The goal Heavily textured log walls and plain, smooth surfaces are bridged by flat surfaces with visual texture. The vanity’s translucent blue glaze was chosen because it lets the wood grain show through. The wall tile’s smooth surface has a minimal pattern that looks like woven fabric. The large masses of the tub deck, vanity and cabinet wall are punctuated by voids created by the doorless shower and countertop overhang. The vanity mirrors take advantage of the depth of the exposed log faces to provide medicine cabinet space behind them. |
